Dark Silver Twisting Leaf Pendant
This one-of-a-kind necklace has a long twisting dark grey silver leaf pendant hanging from hand-knit dark grey silver wire cord.
The wire cord is hand-knitted with a technique called "knitting without needles". It is a fiber technique adapted for use with wire, done by hand.
The twisting leaf pendant was created with the foldforming technique and hammered by hand. I love combining the knitted wire and foldformed textures and am continually finding new ways to use them together. I applied a patina to give the necklace the rich grey color.
The knitted cord is made with argentium silver wire, which is 93.5% fine silver, tarnish resistant and is produced using recycled silver, sustainable labor and environmentally conscious processes. The leaf pendant is made from sterling silver.
The silver knit cord is 20" long, and the leaf pendant hangs 2 3/4" long and about is 7/8" at its widest point.
