Woven Dark Silver Earrings
The interesting texture on these earrings comes from woven flat and round silver wire. The round wire also emerges from the weaving to serve as both the ear wire and hook/catch. I wove rectangles and then formed a gentle curve which adds a sense of volume and visual interest. The ear wires go around to the back and down, along the diagonal to a hook/catch at the lower back corner. They have a gray patina with some silver highlights to give them depth and shine. This is a traditional weave called plaiting.
