These earrings are made from copper with sterling silver ear wires. The detailed “wings” are created by corrugating the metal and then selectively pinching the folds at certain points to create this beautiful effect. The way light and shadow accentuate the folds is wonderful. The copper is very thin (and strong thanks to the folds) and as a result these earrings are very lightweight! The copper has been sealed with a clear coat to prevent tarnishing.
